You probably recognize Melissa Aronson as the gal by the recycling station at nearly every event in Haines! Melissa is also one of the original supporters of CVCF, having donated to the Foundation every year since its inception.
A retired educator—41 years at the secondary and college levels, teaching science, environmental studies and education—Melissa also helped found the Environmental Fund at CVCF.
Why is Melissa such a strong supporter of CVCF? As she puts it, “the Foundation does a tremendous job of funding non-profits—it gives this community the quality that we have.”
Melissa has also designated CVCF as the ‘back-up’ to other non-profits listed in her will, just in case the others aren’t around at some point. She’s confident that CVCF will always be here for our community!
