Get to Know Betsy Lyons: CVCF Advisory Board member. Betsy joined our board in January, 2019. A public health veterinarian, Betsy first visited Haines to perform an inspection on Steve Kroschel’s wildlife park for the US Dept. of Agriculture, where she worked in Hawaii. She fell in love with the people, animals and scenery of the Chilkat Valley. Once retired, Betsy made the leap and moved to Haines in 2011, splitting her time between Alaska and Maui. She is a tireless volunteer and board member for HARK, and can often be found lending her skill and expertise while corralling the pups and cats who are naturally drawn to her. Betsy says she’s thrilled to be on the CVCF team. The community is lucky to have her!
