Chilkat Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation, supports projects that enhance the quality of life for Chilkat Valley area residents, addressing immediate needs while working toward long-term improvements. Advisory Board Members are continually listening and learning about what is important to our donors and local nonprofits.
We use proceeds from our growing endowment funds to award yearly grants to support charitable organizations and programs in the Chilkat Valley area. Grants support a broad range of community needs, including social services, health and wellness, education, the great outdoors, arts and culture, and community development. We seek projects that have the potential to impact a broad range of residents and show collaboration with other organizations.

Our 2023 Annual Grant Cycle runs July 26 through 5 PM on September 27
The Chilkat Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), seeks applications from qualified, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations (or equivalents, such as Tribal entities, schools, and faith-based organizations) that support charitable organizations and programs in the Chilkat Valley area. Grants may support a broad range of community needs, including but not limited to health and wellness, education, the great outdoors, arts and culture, and community development. Typical grant awards range from $500-$3,500.
Ineligible organizations may be able to receive funding for projects if they seek support from a qualified organization that is willing to provide fiscal sponsorship.
Grant projects must be completed within one year of award and are subject to the grantee completing an online grant agreement signifying acceptance of the terms and conditions of the grant. A final grant report must also be submitted online by the assigned due date. Due dates and the forms to submit for these follow-ups can be found by logging into the online grant system.
Feel free to direct all general grant questions or inquiries about a project you hope we’ll support to CVCF’s Advisory Board at email@example.com.
