Chilkat Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation, is pleased to announce that Kingfisher Consulting, LLC is once again supporting a Mini-Tech Grant opportunity for nonprofits in the Chilkat Valley. This will be the fifth Mini-Tech grant. Previously funded projects include a green-powered school signboard, planned and installed by the Haines High School Systems Engineering class, sound equipment for the Lights, Sound, and Action project at the Chilkat Center, and equipment to help KHNS expand its news department. Thanks to this funding, the community can learn about events at the school as they walk or drive by the school, enjoy the amazing sound in the Chilkat Center during plays, concerts, and other events, and enjoy the clearer and expanded news broadcasts on KHNS.
CVCF’s grant cycle is now open and nonprofits can apply for the $600 Mini-Tech grant for a project that incorporates some aspect of technology (new equipment, training, software, etc.) using the online application. For more information, please visit http://chilkatvalleycf.org/grants.
